|arycrest||Like the others who have posted, while it doesn't happen often, the only time any of the white Hooligans have gotten the reddish stains is from chewing or licking (I guess you could call it a spit stain).|

|Sarah~||My pit mix is mostly white I see a lot of those patches, sounds like staining to me. They come and go, I have a shampoo especially for white dogs that helps too.|

|crackem||my guess is he's licking it more than you think. Sounds like saliva staining to me|

Is it just staining? Could be from licking or something his skin is touching? (material, flooring, something in the dirt, etc)
Could you take photos of what you're referring to?

|Nigel||Could he be licking those areas? Maybe at night or at rest.|

Has this happened to your wgsd
for about 6 months ive noticed redish patches on kai (18 month wgsd), it started with the fur on his paw, then his 'heel' and now ive noticed it on his 'shin'
He doesnt bite at it more then usual and it doesnt seem to bother him, everything else is normal (running walking ect)
Ive shown it to a few people and one said 'with white dogs you tend to get patches of different colour as theyre known as a 'defect' with in the breed
Anyone else come across these patches?
