Keep him hungry so he gets all his food and treats from YOU (so he gets a normal amount of food during the day, but only from you).
Have you seen this link yet? CLICKER training does work, but it is something WE need to learn and I've found most of us would rather blame a puppy for not learning then TEACH ourselves a new method that works -----> http://www.germanshepherds.com/forum...s-puppies.html
And remember, raising a puppy is fun but it IS HARD!!! We do have do have to be open to learn new things, new methods, manage the environment, PATIENCE PATIENCE PATIENCE.
Exercise OUTSIDE the home (and off leash if possible) is key for me...

you have a 10 week old puppy, 10 weeks old. learn about puppy
behaviour. enroll in a puppy class and take it from there. train and
socialize everyday. learn about puppy behaviour. good luck.

|Nigel||The biting is normal, lots of threads on bite inhibition/redirection. Eating rocks, etc... Is a fairly typical problem, lot of threads on that too. Some pups are worse than others, but it will pass.|

10 week old male questions ...
my 10 week old male is nuts. this is my first gsd too.
all he does is cry and whine over everything, being in his crate, being held and petted, car rides, on walks with the whole family (doesnt whi e on walks with just myself). so we take him out of his crate, and then all he wants to do is bite my wife and my 4 year old daughter when he "plays". he is a very mouthy pup. so then i take him outside to play and run with him and throw his balls around. he seems more interested in trying to eat dirt, rocks, grass, and his own poo. i try distracting him with beef bones, treats, squeaky toys, you name it. it will work for a few moments but then he is right back at it. so then we take him inside and he just cries at closed doors or when he wants to play he gets mouthy and aggressive ...
is this normal gsd behaviour or what? we try teaching him tricks and to sit stay lay down, and he has sit and lay down. he has kongs, and lots of toys.
he was just at the vet and they have him a good bill of health. just got his 2nd shots and a deworming.
any clues or suggestions?
