Manchester, VT - Mountaintop Grave of Mr. Barbo

Has anyone else here been up Mt. Equinox in Vermont to see the grave marker for Mr. Barbo? It was a 23 years ago but if I remember correctly Mr. Barbo was a GSD. We stayed at the Equinox Inn (now closed and turned into a monestary. Also there is another Equinox Inn in VT but it is not on top of Mt. Equinox). We hiked a short distance into the woods and found the marble headstone marking the grave of Mr. Barbo, killed by hunters in 1955. I didn't have a GSD at the time so I wasn't paying close attention but I am pretty sure Mr. Barbo was a GSD. There were pictures and a plaque to Mr. Barbo in the Hotel as well. It really made an impression and my husband and me how much these people loved their GSD.
FYI - the Equinox Inn was really a memorable experience. It was foggy and windy on top if the mountain. The hotel was almost empty but the dinner was superb. The fog and wind made the tombstone to Mr. Barbo even more memorable. And at night the weather and lack of people made it feel like The Shining.
