|Bridget||I know, don't we deal with some gross stuff? The other day at work, I was notified that someone had put a box in the toilet. I think they expected me to call maintenance. I went and looked and it had been flushed, so I just pulled the box out, threw it away and said "problem solved." I washed my hands afterwards of course. Everyone was mortified. If they knew of the gross stuff I deal with every day...|

|Shade||Ouch, I hope you had a stiff drink and went to bed early. Today's another day|

One of those days
It doesn't happen often, but once in a blue moon I have a day where I wish I could put all the creatures in my life in a boarding kennel and just take a day off! I love them all so, but today was just one of those days where every time I turned around somebody had something going on... I can't imagine having human kids, lol!
I was watching a kennel all weekend, so I had 20+ boarding dogs to deal with, some of whom have some pretty bad habits. When I got home today after being gone for only a few hours one of my girls had peed in her crate and splashed around. Then my cat came home from his afternoon outdoors and his eye is swollen shut for some reason. Treated that, then I go out back and find that the same girl who had so graciously watered her crate for me had discovered some hidden trove of stuffing in the back yard and laid it out aaaaaall over the porch. THEN we all went out for potties and somebody tipped the water bucket, so muddy paws everywhere. THEN on the way back in my little 14 year old man got bumped and had an 'involuntary bladder discharge' on the floor. THEN I get everything cleaned up and everybody in and discover that the kittens have been tossing their litter everywhere in their kitten pen. So I'm cleaning that up, and hear a strange crunching sound and discover the old man eating kitten poop from the litter box behind my back.
I put it up and finish cleaning and feeding and watering... and then the old man pukes up the cat litter AND dinner.
And now the house is quiet, and everyone is napping, and the pee-and-stuffing culprit will be staying outside in the kennel this evening. Phew! It doesn't happen often, but by golly sometimes I have a day where I feel like taking a day off. Of course, when it came time for bed I'd have to go get at least two dogs. It'd be way too lonely without them, lol!
