I wanted to also mention that I would have left without a puppy if I didn't feel like it was a good fit. My breeder normally does not allow puppy buyers to take home a puppy after their first meeting because most people can't turn down a puppy and react impulsively and end up regretting their decision.
I already passed on 2 Dalmatian puppies that I met last year from another breeder and I knew I wouldn't just take any puppy home so after talking to her she agreed that I was "different" and that if I found the right one then I could take him home that day.
So if you are not 100% into either puppy, walk away and keep on looking!

|Springbrz||I only have comment on the name...Dinozzo is my choice. I'm assuming you are naming after Anthony Dinozzo from NCIS. Yes/No? We have Ziva|

I talked to my Dal breeder for over an hour, I told her exactly what I was looking for and I told her I have a really good idea of what I want and I'll know when I meet them if one is meant for me but I still wanted her to help guide me. So I met the 4 puppies she had left, I asked her about each individual puppy, I spent time with all 4 of them together and watched them interact. Then I had her put away the female (I wanted a male) and then I had her put away the show puppy (I didn't want to co own.) So I interacted with the last 2 male puppies together and then I spent one on one time with each of them. I ended up choosing the least attractive puppy of the remaining 4 (he's still very attractive though) and he was less confident and more of a follower than the other male but my heart knew he was the one. The breeder felt that I chose the right puppy and I couldn't agree more. I have had him for 4 weeks now and he is wonderful!
So don't take a puppy if you don't feel like it's a right fit for you, make sure you interact with both together and then one on one with each puppy and please ask the breeder lots of questions!

|KathrynApril||Hahaha yah it will most likely be Dinozzo. I am choosing the puppy, but might ask for insight from the breeder as to which might best fit my needs. Though at this point I don't even know if I am more interested in doing therapy work with him or getting him into Schutzund. I've never done either. Most likely though if I do Schutzund I will just do some kind of volunteer work on my own.|

|KathrynApril||Woo hooo! There are two long coat males that I can pick between. Finally come Nov 9th I will be officially a dog mom. And for added bonus I am taking a day or two off work. Now I just need to decide between Dinozzo or Yggdrasil (Yggy for short).|

|KathrynApril||Yay! I met the parents of the first two litters. The third litter has the same dad from one of the first ones. I didn't meet the mom but I really am not worried at all. Overly excited maybe. LOL|
