Alternatively, the "print screen" button on your keyboard often works, depending on the flavor of LINUX.
BTW, thanks for raising this -- a lot of us may disagree about a lot of things, but I would hope the one thing we can rally around is NOT supporting puppy mills and the stores that buy from them!

I guess I did not think of suggestions to the site management being there -- kind of the newbie section, and not up in the first section of admistrative-type stuff. I suppose I should have read the section header. Will do now.

Except for supporting vendors, the site does not have control over what advertisements pop up - they are random google ads - Google usually scans web pages for key words and displays matching ads. So for example, in a thread about Pet Health insurance, Pet Health insurance ads show up, or a thread about outdoor kennels, outdoor kennel ads show up.
Ads are also local - What ads are displayed for you are different than the ones I see. I get ads for Vancouver dog boarding, for example - I doubt that member in Florida would ever get to see those.
That being said, vBulletin can sometimes block inappropriate ads if you can capture a screen shot and email shepherds, and ask for it to be blocked. I can't do it, since I'm not getting any ads for Ohio Petland, so can't capture a screen shot.
