|TAR HEEL MOM||I had another call today from Dozer's owner. It is getting more imperative that they place Dozer. In fact he may end up here in our shelter on Monday. He is good with humans and female dogs, but doesn't like males. They don't have a fenced yard and will not tie him (thank God) but he keeps getting in the road and they are afraid he is going to be killed.|

Jean, we have a program through our shelter where dogs over 40 pounds are done free at Humane Alliance Home - Humane Alliance It is a 30 minute drive from my shelter and all of our animals go there for surgery. It's a wonderful program. PetSmart Charities grants pay for it.
Whoever ends up taking Dozer will be able to get him altered for free.

Needs to be rehomed. His name is Dozer and he is currently living with his older female guardian. She is not healthy and has to spend way too much time away from him for work and doctor's appointments. She is wishing to rehome him. Her daughter was telling me about it at my shelter and I told her I would post to see if I could get any interest fairly locally. They are probably not in the position to drive him anywhere too far. Let me know if anyone has any interest and I'll see if I can get a picture from her in the meantime.
