totally forgot to update this... Penny is feeling much better.. back to her normal self, and eating regularly again. thank you all for your prayers and thoughts during Penny's illness, it means a lot...
And to those wondering, the vet still does not know what caused this to happen, they marked it down as "undetermined"

What was her diagnosis? I'm really confused by "infection in the abdomen affecting all her organs". Do they think pancreatitis? Or some kind of GI bug?

|mandiah89||I took Penny to the vets yesterday afternoon, they gave me some wet food to give her instead of the kibble, she has eaten a little bit but not much, but at least she is eating, and she is playful so that is good.|

I think you should take her back in to, better to be safe than sorry..
We had a case of pythiosis here in CT, at one point, we thought Masi might have had it, she was almostdead she did have some type of bacteria that went from her gut to her lungs, but we aren't sure exactly where she picked it up.

|Jarek||Please make sure the vet is veterinary specialist. If not go to specialist, also make sure they check if she does not have pythiosis. You are living in Nova Scotia so I dont think it is the case of your doughter but this horrible sickness is making har way up north. Even here in Florida, most of the vets haven't even heared about it. This sickness in dogs digestive system goes undetected. I will post here my experince with this fungus.|
