|mspiker03||We also picked up and carried Paisley outside for the first week or so (I forget how long exactly) when she whined in the middle of the night so she wouldn't have an accident on the way out.|

No water after 7 PM, no water in the crate.
If he cries, take him out on a leash, wait until he goes, then immediately inside and in the crate.
No talking or interacting. He needs to learn that nighttime is for sleeping.

Alright thank you, I was told not to put water in his crate so that he doesn't have "accidents."
Good idea? By the way he's been asleep for about 30minutes and he's already snoring hahaha.
Do I have to take him out if he starts whining in the next few hours? It's almost 1am.

|Sunflowers||Go ahead and close the door, he will be fine.|

Okay so my puppy just fell asleep, after trying and trying, he finally fell asleep in his crate.
His crate is next to my bed, but the thing is I never closed the door when he was awake.
Is it okay if I close the crate door when he's sleeping or will he wake up and feel caged and never get back in?
