|BowWowMeow||First of all, Tripett is not raw. Second of all, it doesn't smell bad at all compared to raw tripe. In fact, I've smelled much smellier canned food than Tripett.|

|Crocky||Interesting. If a dog has never eaten raw or anything like this, is there a shock to their system that I should be aware of. My little guys typically always get toppers on their kibble but I have not ventured into the "raw" items yet but have been contemplating trying for infrequent feedings. My GS pup will come home tomorrow and would love to start incorporating things like this from time to time. We feed TOTW at the moment.|

|Sergeantsays||Thanks everyone for the advice, and the laughs. It kept me from crying from the smell. He LOVED it of course, so yes, worth it. I just didnt feel like any "kisses" for awhile. And yes, it stinks like death.|

LOL it's very smelly. I just mix it with Berlins kibble. He likes it and it's a tad (in gross factor) better than raw green tripe.

LOLOLOL been there. Yes, it's stinky, but amazingly enough I finally got used to the smell. I put about a tablespoon in with the kibble, with a teeny bit of water to mix it up.

Your dog is going to love you extra special once you feed green tripe.

I think 1/3 of a can is the recommended amount if I remember correctly but I may be wrong. I just add about 1 tbsp per bowl so one can lasts a week for both dogs, once open it's kept in the fridge with a lid.
I mix it with the kibble, I add warm water to the kibble so it gets warmed that way, but you can put the portion in the microwave for 10 seconds to get the same effect if you want. I've fed it cold to and the dogs don't mind but they prefer it warmed lol
I don't know if I've really become immune to the smell but it doesn't bother me as much as it used to
