|ten3zro||Not a healthy amount of poop for a puppy that age. Sounds like you are overfeeding or there is a digestion issue, or he's consuming things other than what you're feeding.|

|ShatteringGlass||That's a lot of poop in one day. My dogs usually poop 1x a day. Only time they poop more than that is if we are out and about at dog sporting events. The extra excitement, exercise, and smells of other dogs usually encourages them to go more even if they don't really HAVE to, so it may come out a little soft or runny. I feed raw, btw|

|wolfy dog||One of my dogs used to have this problem. Maybe some other cause but this is what worked. A few pieces of raw green tripe every few days. Not the canned tripe, the real ting. GreenTripe.Com Main Index. For him it worked like medicine.|

Possibly not fully digesting! Our boy goes thru phases like that too!
What food are you feeding?
Sounds like he needs a digestive enzyme to help him assimilate his food and probiotic for a healthier gut. Here is a good combination of digestive enzymes and pro-biotics in an easy to use powder: The Wholistic Pet
If he needs something stronger, my holistic vet recommends a digestive enzyme that contains Ox Bile and Pancreatin. She says that plant derived enzymes may not be enough and they need support from "animal" sourced ingredients. I crush the Bilex between 2 spoons and sprinkle on food: Bilex 90 Tablets by Douglas Laboratories I use both of these at once (at a reduced rate) for him and just the powder for our girl. All depends on the individual dog!
Hope this helps!

The scoop on dog poop? 10 months old GSD
So I have a 10 months old GSD/LAB/HUSKY cross he is 10 months old and ever since he was a pup his poop routine has been the same and he had giardia once, which was treated, if up to date with blood work shots etc., I have been through a couple foods his poop never changed I always feed first ingredient meat not meat by product. I have tried grain and corn free fish diet in case of allergies still no change. currently he is eating presidents choice premiere nutritional dry food, before this he ate Orijan, and before that hills veterinary, and before that taste of the wild.
So my question? is he pooping normal?
daily poop scheduled goes like this:
morning: big healthy poop, run around another big healthy poop a little mushy, run around, a water/some solids poop, run around and play another poop but it is watery and not to much poop.
afternoon: no poop usually but sometimes a little healthy log
Night: 1 big healthy poop run around take another poop that is a little watery.
he always takes a healthy poop and it seems that he is working out some remnants after the healthy poop, and this could be healthy.
what do you think is this healthy digestion? or is he digesting to quick?
