|Stevenzachsmom||That's cute. I was afraid to look at the picture. Glad it was just an apple. I used to have a dog that ate apples ALL the time. We used to buy a big bushel basket and she would sneak to the basket and take one. It never hurt her. I'm sure she ate few seeds along the way. My current dog likes apples too.|

|trcy||We have a lot of fruit trees. Riley loved the apples. He would eat around the core, but never ate the core or the seeds.|

It's an apple one must have fell out of the apple picking bag on the table. But she didn't consume any apple seed or stem this time.
A Vet that I know, who made his own dog food for his dogs, would put apple slices on their food. I just never really thought about seeing if Zelda liked them or not. I only plan on using apple slices as a treat.

Is that an apple or one of those wax decorative things?
also - as DD points out: the seeds are not good for dogs. They contain cyanide. A few seeds from one apple probably won't cause any problems, but next time core the apple for her.
And while the apple in and of itself isn't bad, it might cause some tummy issues for your dog that won't be fun to clean up later.

Thanks for the tip doggiedad, i looked it up, "Avoid large amounts of apple seeds and stems in fresh apples, as they contain cyanogenic glycosides which can cause tummy upset and more serious problems if consumed in large quantities." - See more at: Can Dogs Eat Apples? | Modern Dog magazine
Thankfully this time she stopped and i took it away before she got the stem or seeds, she primarily just ate what was in the photo! But i defiantly want to start using apple slices in her kong to spice things up. Good to know she likes them, I didn't even think of it.

i think apple seeds and other fruit seeds are poisonous to dogs
and to humans.
