|Galathiel||Maybe it's too big for him to reach inside easily? My pup (5 months) has the black xl kong and loves it. I get it out of the freezer (I always freeze it) and he runs to his crate. I've been mixing 1/4 cup of his kibble with 100 percent pumpkin, sealing the small hole with pumpkin, then spooning in the kibble alternated with a broken dog biscuit (blue buffalo banana & yogurt). I leave a piece of the biscuit sticking out and seal around it with more pumpkin. Freeze it and he loves it. Haven't tried anything else in it yet.|

It took months to get Lisl to play with her Kong. It was one of her first toys when I got her. She must have been six month or older before she ever gave it a second look.
Now I can't get it away from her and she loves it with PB inside.

|ODINsFREKI||Kong makes a nice little, and softer chew toy. It's textured for teething and the puppy can control it with their paws easily. Freki didn't like the big kong that has been around for many years. It even has a rope on it. He went bonkers on the little kong chew toy with a rope in it at first and now we took the rope off and he gnaws on it all the time. I put sweet potato treats inside the tube to keep him occupied for about an hour.|

Now that he's older, he's cleaning out his kong, except for what he cant get to at the very bottom. He even tries to take his out into the yard now which isn't allowed and he knows it but doesn't stop him from trying. Give your pup some time. The kong might just be a bit much for him right now.|

|AugustGSD||My dog loves Kong toys. I don't have to put anything in them, and he will still play with it. I'm glad to because he shreds other toys quickly. So far I haven't had any casualties with the rubber Kong toys. I bought him a new plastic one the other day that he really likes because I can put his food in and let him play as he tries to get it out.|

|HOBY||Paint the Kong with a meat base broth inside and out. Hold off feeding a little longer and offer the Kong first. Try not to make it to easy. Hunger will drive him to work the Kong.|

|volcano||My dog was never into her kong. Until I put a rope through it and tied some knots. Now its her 2nd favorite toy behind the jolly ball.|

Maggie loves her Kong. Most if time we will put peanut butter in it. And she will go to town on it for about 30 min or so then she will ignore it.

|mbussinger166||Also might depend on the time frame in which he eats a meal and you give him the Kong. I know my pup won't touch the Kong or treats if he just ate.|
