|Traveler's Mom||I made this pillow for Traveler when he was 4 months old. he'll be 7 years old in November. I've patched it and recovered it more times than I can count. He sleeps with it and plays tug with it but mostly just sucks on it. Definitely fits the description of a pacifier.|

Freki just lost his upper front teeth and has new ones in already. He loves to chew on this Kong toy all day. I stuff a sweet potato treat in the hole to keep him occupied for at least an hour if I'm busy. I thread a rope into it for a fetch toy and put it in his crate at night to keep him happy.
He also likes the nylabone Y shaped one for his back molars.
I tried darn near everything out there and was quite popular at the dog beach on the lake this year as I gave away many toys he was not interested in.

Give him RAW large beef knuckle bones! There are over 150 muscles in the jaw that help strengthen the ears too with all the tugging & chewing and great for teething! Only give it for short times at first to make sure he doesn't get diarrhea. You can put it in the frig or freezer in-between times. Put an extra old sheet in the crate on top of the padding to keep it clean.

Jake has his quiet time with his Teddy Bear every night after supper. Here's a pic when he was 5 months old with Teddy. He will be 3 on Saturday and still has a Teddy! He's gentle with them and they usually last 6 months.

|pyratemom||I second the Kong idea. I use natural peanut butter without additives or salt. Mix a little kibble with the peanut butter and freeze it. That way it takes longer for them to lick everything out. You can also feed them that way but putting the kibble or canned food mixed with kibble in the kong and letting them lick it out.|

|Crocky||Love the sock monster idea. Also I totally forgot about the kong. Not something I could outside the crate right now but I could definitely use it in the crate! Could also stuff with peanut butter. Any preference sin peanut butter brands, one better than the other for pups or better to stick to the kong stuffing|
