With my epileptic dachshund prey model raw made a huge difference. No treats, just raw. She went from having one every 2-4 weeks (petit to grand mal, sometimes clusters) to having one every 1-2 years (grand mal cluster). She is no longer on any medication and we're on a seizure free streak of 2 1/2 years! She was diagnosed at 5 months and started the raw diet at a year, she'll be 7 next month.
Edited to add - there have been a few times when we've had to go back to kibble either for cost or convenience reasons (working a lot, etc) and she did the best on Nature's Variety Instinct Rabbit or Chicken. She has food allergies, as does my other dachshund, so that limited a lot of what we could feed.

Seizures & nutrition
I have a 9 year old whose seizures have become more frequent and we will be exploring treatment options. I'm curious about ant success/failures with nutritional changes rather than medications. I've been reading about gluten and some i other minerals that can affect brain activity. Thanks
