When building up Ozzy's duration I would go back and treat him at regular intervals just to find him snoring. OR my personal favourite is he would roll slightly backwards to that I could place the treat directly in his mouth.

Of course his favourite position for the long down is hopping onto the couch and resting with his head on the arm If you have to obey the command do it in comfort I suppose, spoilt rotten dog lol

I remember at our Grade 1 evaluation, my pup had to do a 30 minute down stay. I got worried because she usually breaks it at least once, but this time she curled up in a ball and went to sleep! Then I was worried that that wasn't allowed either! Ha ha

Down Stay with his Favourite GSD!
Ozzy did a down stay with his half sister Friday last night which is really difficult for him, he would have rather played. A group of us were eating but he only needed to be reminded a couple times in the first half hour. After that and an hour of class i think his brain was fried
So proud of him!
