Why would something be wrong? Very possible he likes it but he's scared. Or he's a Velcro dog and you're in a scary place but he wants to be with you. Have you tried a life vest?

|Nigel||Great pictures! My malamute use to do the same thing. He would be ok at first and start to whine or climb on us after a bit. He always wanted to get back in though, never understood it.|

Had a question too. He always wants to go swimming, but whenever we go in the water all he does is follow me and try to climb up on me. And once I pick him up he just whines as if he wants to go back to land or in the water. If I bring him back to land he just wants to go back in and if I put him back in the water he just tries to climb back up. I read if a dog tries to climb up on you in the water he's uncomfortable/scared? Or what's going on. He's a really good swimmer and I can just swim in front and let him follow, but I just want to make sure he's not uncomfortable or something.
