More often than not, a coatie will go for a bit less in the showlines. Working lines generally charge the same price across the board for a litter, the coat doesn't cost more or less!
Alta-Tollhaus is near me, I see many dogs from the kennel at training and they are very sound/great temperaments.

Thanks! That's pretty similar to my dog now. I can brush him and get a small dog off of him.
I checked out the other breeders website you mentioned. They aren't that far (3 1/2 hours) I'll look into them more.
I noticed they discount their longcoats and other breeders I've seen charges extra.

|Cassidy's Mom||Both mine are longcoats. My first two shepherds were stock coats, my two current and one prior are/were all longcoats. The main difference I've noticed is that the longer outer coat seems to keep the undercoat on the dog until brushed off. So when I do brush them, I get a LOT of soft fluffy undercoat flying off, it just doesn't tend to fall off all over the house and end up as tumbleweeds in all the corners, lol.|

sorry, long coat then.
And it looks as though you have a long coat. When they shed do they shed in clumps? I have a long haired black dog that sheds like crazy, but since he is longer haired its more in clumps as opposed to little hairs everywhere. Shedding doesn't bother me but I'd rather go around picking up clumps. That is really the only reason I prefer the long haired GSD.
I've looked at Huerta Hof, but they are just a little too far from me and I prefer to pick up

By "plush" do you mean long stock coat or just a full, thick coat? Plush is a descriptive term rather than a coat type, and people don't always use it in the same way.

I have a list of breeders I'm still narrowing down, so I'll just cross this one off the list. Price wise it isn't that much less then my top pick breeder (just slightly out of my range, well should say my husbands range.. lol)
I'm looking for a black and red plush coat WGSL. And of course a great personality and healthy!

I'd just keep on looking, plenty of good breeders to buy from. Why jump thru hoops just to get more info on what this one is actually breeding? Most breeders would answer the questions more thoroughly as they are proud of their dogs, not so vague with the 'If or When'.
If they are breeding, they should have more than prelim's OFA information along with other health tests they have done on the pair.

The website doesn't show the registered name of the dogs. There is one female import that shows some titles but not a complete name, so it would be impossible to look her up. The males are just listed as Prince and King.
The "puppies" link is very general, it shows some puppy pictures that could be from a variety of different litters, with some pricing info depending on whether it's from their dogs, imported parents, or the puppy itself is imported. There are no actual litters listed that show who the parents are.

|Sarah'sSita||If you have the registered name of the dogs you can look the dog on the OFA website.|
