|Alis||In addition, many insurances have a "lifetime" limit on a dog which isn't much help if a dog runs into a serious health concern such as cancer which can cost tens of thousands of dollars. Overall, I just find them the best option out there. Their prices are affordable, their customer service has been great as often as I've dealt with them, and its easy enough to make claims.|

|Gwenhilde||@Alis that is what made me start looking into Healthy paws is that they will cover HD like you said if it doesn't show in the first 12 months as well as they let you enroll to cover HD up to 6 years of age and iirc it is only if you enroll in the first 12 months for Pet Plan.|

Increases are based on where you live. Call them, they can tell you the figures.

|Alis||I would recommend Healthy Paws highly! I've used them for a few years now. $100 deductible, 90% paid. For three dogs, our german shepherd puppy, 3 yr old labrador, and our 3 year old mutt, it's $125.99 a month. They don't have the exclusions that most insurances do, cover most anything as long as it isn't pre-existing. They even cover hip dysplasia if it doesn't show in a dog within the first 12 months of the policy.|

|Gwenhilde||kr16 I did see you previous posts on you taking the insurances apart, greatly appreciate that! I just couldn't remember anything about the yearly premiums. But I might just have read over that.|

|skier16||I have made 1 claim with petplan so far for deciduous teeth removal and xrays to make sure they got the whole tooth and I received payment within 7 days.|

You do not have to meet the deductible again on petplan, its for per condition not yearly. If its the same condition it gets paid at whatever your co insurance is. Make sure when you do the claim you check that its a previous claim, its on the form
As far as price increases it depends where you live. Florida, NY and California have the biggest increases with age. I got this from them last night when I signed up my second dog.
I just changed my boy from the bronze to the silver even thu he has pre existing conditions they allowed it with no exclusions.
If anyone wants info on healthy paws or any of these companies use the search button I ripped them all apart already.

I have PetPlan and had a $1400.00 claim that they paid 80% on after my $200.00 deductible. They paid within 2 weeks of my claim with no questions or hassles.
I actually have to take Bear back for the same issue and hopefully I don't have to pay the deductible again because its related to the previous claim. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!!
