|vicky2200||Daisy is an Alaskan husky, which is just a mixture of breeds to make a good puller. She has shepherd and husky in her, along with some other things. To me, she looks like a mix of the two alone. She is the smaller white dog in my picture. She is 47 lbs and 24 inches at the shoulder.|

Hello MiaMoo. Thanks so much. How sweet of you to say.
Hello Apple. Thanks for the welcomes. Hopefully I can talk with more "shepsky" owners. Rogue looks cool. He also doesn't look that big! Lol Ava is only 55 lbs now. I hope she stays in that range. The vet said she may as Huskies run smaller than GSDs.
I will post pics as soon as i figure out how lol!
Thanks again guys !!

Welcome to the forum. I believe I've seen quite a few people on here with GSD/husky mixes.
She looks beautiful from your avatar picture, you should post a larger one.
Congrats on the new pup, and I'm sure she's very happy and lucky to have been taken in by you.

Any other GSD/Siberian Husky owners ?
Hi everyone. I'm Melisa my dog's name is Ava.
She isn't pure GSD so I hesitated to join this site but everyone seems so informative and helpful I decided to anyway.
She's my third dog but my first large breed. I have a five year old Chihuahua and a ten year old Pomeranian. The Chi was my first dog the Pom came unexpectedly some time last September when his owner passed away. ):
I am pretty experienced with large dogs, though. I spent over a year working for my local shelter doing everything from the nasty poop scooping and kennel washing jobs, to preparing meals, special diets, bottle feeding newborn puppies and a lot of simple obedience training with the dogs to help them become more adoptable. So I'm no stranger to large breeds, (though I mostly worked with pits. I've only worked with two GSDs in that shelter since I started, one of which was literally the best dog in the world. She's part of the reason I snatched Ava up when I did).
Anyway, Ava is a German Shepherd and Husky mix. She looks almost full GSD but with the eyes of a husky (: she was a rescue from an irresponsible kid living in a one bedroom apartment with her in the city. I got her when she was 6-7 months old and at least the kid potty trained her well lol. She's 8 months now and doing great. I bike with her at least and hr every morning and I'm switching her and my other pups over to a raw diet in the next couple of days. I love her a ton even though I think she's a challenging mix at times. I was wondering if anyone else has a shepherd/husky here? Please speak up (: I know the mix of breeds can produce a variety of different traits from either side and it'd be cool to compare with others. From what I could gather from her previous owner, she's 3/4 GSD 1/4 Husky.
Thanks for reading. Kiss your GSD & GSD mixes for me.
