I'd go to an independent third party for a second opinion!

Misdiagnosed Heart Murmur
I took my oldest dog to the vet today to have check on the heart murmur that she's been diagnosed and taking medication for, and the vet told me something that was quite a surprise. After listening to the Saba's heart several times and putting her through and EKG, he said that it looks like her murmur wasn't as bad as originally diagnosed about a month ago and is very mild. Saba is in on immediate danger and doesn't even need meds at this point. This was good news, but I told him that I was a little confused because another doctor within the same clinic told me that it was 'severe' and I needed to be extremely careful with any exertion on the heart. IOTW he made it seem that she was on her last leg and only has months to live. The doctor that I saw today was my regular doctor, but I haven't been able to see him for a while because of he took some time off. So the news about her heart is good, but I am not happy about someone making me worry for practically nothing.
