|skier16||both those things can only be confirmed by xray. no point is people speculating. a video may be able to generate opinions but at that age some dogs dont know how to run properly still. my 7 month old just started to have her rear legs alternate when running full speed. if my dog was limping i would take her in for xrays if it persists for more then a day or two.|

Does my dog have hip dysplasia or panosteitis?
Hello experienced GSD owners,
My GSD is 5 months old right now, and I just recently noticed his abnormal running behavior when I play fetch with him. He runs with 2 paws like a bunny hop, and when he is not actively running, I notice that he limps very slightly on the right leg, but not to the point where you can see he is in pain, he just limps VERY slightly. I'm worried he has hip dysplasia? But I try to think positive that maybe it's panosteitis? Neither of his parents have apparent hip dysplasia problems (Breeder confirmed). Please give me your opinions. Thank you!
P.S I took him off Orijen Puppy Large food 1.5 months ago, I started feeding him Nature's Domain from Costco. Maybe the food switch (reduction in calcium/ phosphorus )
