You don't show your location so I don't know if there is wild game around or if you can raise chickens. Raw food diet is not only good for your dog, it's good for you!
I ate terrible foods when I was in the military. Processed everything with preservatives. I met a girl who was from a country that didn't have all the processed garbage and learned how to eat like my mother raised me all over again!
General rule for the conversion. The bad tasting stuff is the best for you. You will not like it at first but then you will be revolted by processed foods.
I think you will save money on making your own dog food if you find the right source. Find a local butcher or farmer. Hunt wild game and save everything. Shop around in the stores for meat soon to expire.
Good luck with your dog!

If you are disgusted by raw foods, why not start with some dehydrated raw brands. The one I use is The Honest Kitchen. Add warm water, wait 5 minutes and serve. There are other brands out there.
Also some good pet stores offer prepared raw in the freezer section. My local Whole Foods stores carries the Primal brand and we use Natures Variety, both thaw and serve.
As for costs, THK would run between $50-$100/month depending on the mix. prepared raw is expensive so we don't use it exclusively, about $120/month.
Using these products has cured our dogs colitis, so we definitely save in the vet bills over the long run.

Look for a CO-OP on Yahoo groups. I recently found on in my area and picked up 126 lbs of meat for $132 which includes the monthly CO-OP fee. Chicken necks, turkey necks and human grade ground beef. My dog is only 5 months old so this should last us about 2.5-3 months.

Thinking about switching to raw feeding
There are two main problems.
1.How much would it cost?(i'm paying almost 100$ for kibble and it lasts one month and a half)
2.i'm disgusted by raw food.
