|kiya||Misty is 13, she is a ferrel cat, even though we've had her since she was about 9 weeks old its still in her. She's really an odd creature. Last kitty wanted to play and all she would ever do is hiss, spit and growl at him. So unless this new kitty can charm her I don't expect much.|

|Gharrissc||How old is Misty? I am sure she will take to Gizmo once she gets used to him.|

Well I picked up Gizmo yesterday. I'm having trouble posting on this site at work, seems that chat rooms are frowned upon. Anyway I think I managed to get a pic posted. Apache and Kiya were both perfect and were allowed to sniff him on the counter. Lakota on the other hand seems to have a problem, I get mixed signals. She wants the toys in the crate and the food didn't help her resource guarding. So I'll be working on her, took her out with the bicycle and I will take her for a run when I get home. Tonight I will take the toys out of the crate and see if that helps.
At least this is nothing like last time, but poor kitty hissed and spit at the dogs when I first introduced each one separately. He was probably really relieved there wasn't a 4th dog and he perked up when he caught a glimpse of my cat Misty, she wants no part of him. By the time I went to bed everyone settled down and he was rubbing up against Lakota thru the crate.

|llombardo||That story made me smile, not the part about the passing of the kitty(sorry about your loss), but the fact that he snuck over to the shelter is just to funny.|

Here we go again
Due to the rain today my husband left work early. I just got a phone call from him, he sounded so giggly "guess where I am?" I ask "where are you?" He says "the town shelter" Of course the first the I think is omg what happened, then as the tone of his voice sunk in, I got it, he was playing with a kitten. He was so heart broken when we lost our kitty last week, as much as I really wanted to wait I guess a happy husband is a happier wife.
I just wonder what he would have said if I called saying I was bringing another dog home. I hope all 3 dogs are as happy about this as he is.
