Weight Pull update

Otis went to another IWPA weight pull last weekend.

He got signed up for Novice again. He was excited and pulled quickly and confidently without much instruction.

So he has finally been bumped up to the 80# class!

He pulled 4 times at that level. The first three were just as quick and confident as his novice pulls and we didn't skip any pulls because I didn't know what his limit would be. Pull 4 he was unsure of and backed up a couple steps and spun, but using commands we have worked on (stop, easy, right here, get low, and work - that's a mouth full!) got him back on track. He finished the pull with no help, but that was his limit and that is where I stopped him for the day at 615#.

He had fun and I was SO proud of him. He's a completely different dog than last year in the chute!

Normally I would include pictures at this point, but I was the photographer for the day and can't be in two places at once!
