No problem!

They are all pretty good. Depends what you need from it. I never needed anything too serious. Mine was actually bought by my mother while I was in college. I drove to a lot of new places and lived in a new town far from home. I also drove home often. So all I have is a simple low level Nuvi.

The 50LM is a decent middle ground. It's not basic level, but it's not the top either. For the price, it is very nice. I like the new features they are putting on them, like lane assist. It actually shows you the lane you need to be in and when the road is splitting. Which, especially here in FL with our horrible highway system... I would love that! You also get free lifetime updates with them. Easy to do the updates too!

KZoppa yeah I keep an atlas in the car, my GPS, try to keep my phone charged but dont always get the best signal, especially when we're in maryland... lol. In hindsight, I would have taken a hammer to my TomTom instead of just throwing it in the trash.

Yep. I always print a map. And often make adjustments based on known main roads from the map.

onyx'girl I usually will do a mapquest search and look at the different routes. I've changed up what the Garmin wants more than once, then start sweating because I think I'm lost. Mapquest sometimes has me scratching my head too with the route suggestions.

This is what I own as well and love it. I just got the 50 LM for Christmas because of the lifetime map downloads. I was traveling with a friend who owned a TomTom and it got us lost. lol.

Couldn't agree more. I have always used Garmin and never once had an issue. My new car came with TomTom installed. I was out one day and got detoured in a territory I was unfamiliar with. I didn't have my Garmin with me so I turned on TomTom. It was the worst experience. It wasn't allowing for the detour and kept trying to turn me around when I couldn't because the road was blocked off. I had to call my husband and he found the road by using his cell phone.
I used it once again to find an address in a local city. It was a freaking police station and TomTom couldn't find the street address.
Worst gps ever!
I now keep my Garmin in the car at all times. TomTom is worthless!

My Nav talks too, I love it
I don't think I've got mapquest, but it's probably in apps. I realized after I replied last, that it's probably not there (although I've seen it in apps).
This phone came with a bunch of things I uninstalled and some that won't uninstall.
