KZoppa One thing we had our students do in class when we were starting the leashing training, as you change direction, call your pups name happily. When your pup follows you, right as your pup is next to you where you ideally would like the pup to walk, praise and treat. A simple "yes!" acts as your praise and cue word (think yes = the click of a clicker minus the clicker). Good luck!

Narny Thanks I placed the order. It will be here on the 28th. Got to love Amazon Prime!

Bear GSD Yes, she's way too young for a prong collar. If you can't train her using a flat collar then I would try a front hook harness on her like, a Senseation Harness or the Freedom no pull harness.
I had a strong puller with my pup and it definitely helped with the pulling.

3.5 months Walking on leash problem

I am having a small amount of trouble with Lulu. She pulls on the leash and when I try to train her the way I have learned too (ie turning the other way to walk) she will stand perfectly still and I end up dragging her behind me.

I have no idea what I should do. Is she to young for a prong collar?
