onyx'girl Human grade is fine...I give my 80# 2 of the 300mcg for thunderstorms.
But I would also work on building confidence and showing your dog that you are the one that is in control so he won't feel like he's got to worry about situations.

And I'd stop w/ the dog park and Petsmart if you are still going.
Don't overwhelm him with too much stimulation. Keep him on the fringe of activity while you do obedience and play. Short sessions and end every one on a positive note.

Practice NILIF and maybe get the book Control Unleashed to work on exercises outlined in the book.

Del's Mom How do I know how much melatonin to give him? Do they make it for dogs or do I use the human grade?

Anxiety help

My 11 month male is extremely anxious in a new situation. We have traveled to the dog park, PetSmart and other locations since he was a puppy. He still get extremely anxious! I have heard I could give him over the counter anxiety medicine for dogs but want to use that as a last resort. Any suggestions would be great! And yes, he has been to training, I am still training him myself on a daily basis. Thanks!
