Marc your pup is 8 weeks, its just a baby! would you get aggressive with a human baby for bitting you too hard?

you just have to teach that bitting skin is not ok, but bitting toy's is fun.

GsdLoverr729 Shepherds are VERY different from Berners and goldens. I agree with the others, no alpha rolling.

Try redirecting the bite, wearing the pup out like Onyx said, etc.

onyx'girl thumb on tongue works, do not ever roll or pin your pup. It'll just ramp up the pup and decrease his confidence. You want to be his buddy, not his enemy. Work on engagement, focus, recalls and track him with his meals...you'll have a tired worn out pup if you use his meals for training purposes. Don't give it in a bowl, but have him happily work for it!

wink-_-wink Not trying to be a **** bro, tryign to help you out. Considering your first choice was go with aggression I thought I might share a bit more than I probably should have. Seriously when you get a chance, come on the forums, do a little research and you will quickly see that aggression towards a GSD is never good...

Capone22 8 weeks is nothing. Just wait for 12 weeks +. Start doing some reading here. There is a whole thread on puppy biting. Hopefully someone can post it for you, I don't know how to. Have patience, LOTS of toys and redirection.

wink-_-wink Well the fact that you reposted tell me it may be a serious question. I am no expert just have my own experience which is also limited. First off all search the forums for "biting" there is a TON of thread devoted to it. Second educate yourself, the GSD did not get the nickname "furgator" for nothing. THEY BITE while they teeth, all you can do is correct it and wait it out which takes about 4 months and longer! Some tricks that are used are replacing your hand (if thats whats being biten) with toys, also yelling loudly OUCH so the puppy realizes he is hurting you. I WOULD NOT EVER suggest "aggresive action" towards the pup because that will in turn cause him to react. kind of you hurt me ill hurt you back thing and then your in for a very long and sad road. Your puppy's mouth hurts and is going to for a while, try giving him a small ice cube, or PLENTY of chewy toys, other than that I would HIGHLY suggest searching the forum!!
