Haha.
Well then since you could get a guilt face from Aiden, I'd go with a mayhem theme.
Some paper, maybe a torn Santa hat lol

I could have loads of fun with such cooperating subjects

I would throw a few colored lights in the background. Maybe even out of sight. It'll add some depth. Then I would add some mayhem. The dog is holding the lights in an "uh-oh" look on his face. Tear up some gift wrap paper, and throw it around their paws.

The added background, and props would put those pictures on a holiday card for sure

Nickyb I love the set! A little dark but your on the right track. Now only if I could get Zoey to stay that still!

wildo I have a decent P&S that easily operates in manual mode- even has f2. (I see you had a very open aperture of f1.8.) And I could set it to 1/80 as you were using. The thing I didn't expect was your iso800. I would have been trying to run around iso200 or 250 which would have dramatically dropped my shutter speed. I'll play around with this... Thanks!! I like how these photos turned out! I especially like the double head tilt one.

Nevermind- I didn't realize these were flickr photos. I can see the info I need.
Before this camera, I had a decent point and shoot, but I just wouldn't have been able to get the lighting without the blur, like you said. I'm totally in love with this thing! And to my amazement, I actually think it's easier to operate. I could never figure out how to actually use any sort of manual settings on my point and shoot. I'm not very gifted with most technology, but this camera is really awesome.
