Good_Karma No, my husband means more to me than my dogs. But that doesn't mean that my dogs don't mean a lot to me, they do. But my husband and I have a real connection to each other. We've been together long enough that all the rough edges have been smoothed down and we function as a unit. No one (human or animal) makes me laugh like he does.

I think I have a strong, meaningful bond with my dogs, but I am not sure how much I would be interested in life if my husband was not in it.

Hahahaha indeed.

Avery and I have a different type of relationship than my husband and I. Avery is my baby through and through and probably gets more attention than my hubby, but hubby travels a LOT for work so Avery and I have a strong bond. It would be hard to live without the dog but harder without the hubby.

No in the sense that I love her and all, but she is a dog. She fills great many emotional needs, but is not a replacement for human companionship or affection. Add to the fact that our relationship is still alot like mother and "child", and not partners quite yet. I look forward to seeing the changing dynamic as she grows up and matures.
Correct 👍. My dog gets more attention because she sometimes is a brats and needs to be exercised and alot of my time, but I do give my BF a couple hours of my day

you shouldn't have a partner.
Completely agree. Years ago, after being separated from my husband and dog for about 3 weeks I called my friend and told her something was wrong when I miss my dog horribly and I don't miss my husband at all. 6 months later the divorce was finalized. My friend still loves to laugh about that conversation.

julie87 Um no, my partner is a human and means a lot more to me than my dog. I love my dog so much and she gets more attention than my hubby because she is silly and cute and goofy and crazy ... its a different type of "care" I am talkning about. If my husband was an ass than I would care about the dog more

things were going fine untill her dog stole my dogs ball one day so my dog attacked it. no real damage just flying fur. she ordered me to sort out my dog's "issues" ASAP and let her know when she can see an improvement - been nearly 2 years and i still aint called. she was hot but was into AKC stuff so it would never have worked anyway.
