Sagan I'd like to know more about this too. My dog will ignore loud music and even if he's resting won't pay any attention to it when it suddenly turns on. However he could be resting/sleeping and hear something down the street (inaudible to me) and immediately turn his attention to it. Do dogs here digital and analog sounds differently and/or is it likely the originating source that gets their attention?

MichaelE I play rock music and guitar at large club level volume and it doesn't seem to bother Lisl. She lays down behind the couch and takes a nap.

Loud, as in you would have to shout for me to hear you standing next to me.

RUSH, Tom Petty, Boston, Nena, Ozzy Osborne, ect.

Lisl is a couple of yards from the VOX 212 50 watt amp, and the same for the floor monitors and mains.

Are dogs ears sensitive to sounds we would perceive as loud?

I was wondering about playing music at a decent volume.

Thanks.
