VEry common. We do have to pay attention cause normal diarrhea, if we don't react properly, can become EXPENSIVE colitis.

|Cassidy's Mom||Sure, it can happen. Mine sometimes have digestive upset. But if there are other things going on too, such as being off their food, or lethargy - signs that they just don't feel good generally, I always take them to the vet to make sure everything is okay. If the stools are a little soft but they're still eating with enthusiasm and their energy level is normal I don't worry about it. I look at the whole picture to determine if it's a "wait and see" situation, or maybe something that needs to be addressed.|

My 8 yr old gsd has an upset stomach. He had squishy soft poops for almost a week. He's been eating, but not as 'excitedly' as usual. This morning, he didn't want his regular food. So, I made him up some white rice with ground turkey and he gobbled it all up and licked the bowl. He is acting normally otherwise. Do dogs sometimes just get diarrhea like humans do?
