Linda1270 My sincere condolences on the loss of your boy, Fuser was a beauty. I was hoping for a good outcome and was sincerely shocked when you posted that he had passed away.

Hoping that memories of happy times together with your boy will comfort you in the days ahead. RIP Fuser.

Renofan2 I am so sorry for your loss. Fuser was lucky to have you as it is easy to see how much he was loved.

onyx'girl Karlo had blood in his urine when he first went in to the vet. That was the first big red flag, while we waited for the blood test results. My vet never ran a test for lepto, even though I specifically requested it when I made his appointment.

my boy diesel there wasnt really anything off on the original bloodwork to detect anything going bad
i am also curious about the presence of blood in the urine

does anyone know if thats a lepto symptom?

maxo16 i'm having a hard time converting the values to md/dl like on the link you posted as the converter I'm using gives me 133 mg/dl where the normal range is 7-24.

i'm going to hopefully get the ultrasound results and everything tomorrow.

onyx'girl Do you have the ultrasound results too? This is really baffling, as everything is in range.

ugavet2012 Only issue I see here is the blood in the (very) dilute urine, in a male dog especially that would have been a red flag for me, HOWEVER, not that very acute kidney failure & death were coming. I do not think your vet did a bad job, there are just some things we cannot fix.

kr16 Here is another detailed link on blood tests

maxo16 hey posting this was easier than writing it all out... i notice the results are all in the range shown, tomorrow when i goto emerge vet i'm gonna ask if they can get the records from the lab directly.
