YORCHI I'm glad to hear that he was doing good with the medicine.

My Daisy was sick as well but we didn't take her to the vet, I just couldn't afford it

She started showing the same symptoms as my previous GSD puppy but not as severe. The differences were that Daisy's stool wasn't gray and it didn't stink as bad. But the sadness, the not eating, the not drinking, and the diarrhea were all there. We bought an organic thing called ParvAid from the feed store and started giving her that on the hour. We made rice and boiled chicken puree and force fed it to her on the hour as well. The other thing we did was give her pedialyte and coconut water. We let her rest and kept checking on her. It was so sad to see her get skinnier and skinnier each day. It took a full weekend of us force feeding her every hour (even during sleeping times) before she finally started to move around and then drink water on her own and then eat on her own. When she finally started to run around and pant and wag her tail we celebrated a little. Then when she finally went to the bathroom and it was normal we jumped and celebrated like if she had just graduated from high school.

All I can suggest is to keep an eye on them and force feed them their meds and food and water as often as you can. Good luck!

Thank you for that! The little things really mean a lot! He's doing great from what I can tell and he's had two solid stools today after finishing all of his medicine. I hope we don't have to see the ugly side of this!

I was very emotional and overwhelmed whenever I was first told the news. Growing up in a family that breeds and shows dogs, we've never had this problem and I've only heard the worst of it. Luckily my vet says I could not have brought him in sooner as diarrhea is his only symptom. He's still eating and drinking plenty, also being a puppy like puppies should. He's been put on cephalexin, metronidazole, cerenia and tamiflu.

I've contacted my breeder and she suggested pedialyte to add to his water, if anyone has any other tips or advice to help my little man through his fight I would greatly appreciate it! He will be ten weeks this upcoming Wednesday and I will keep this updated on his condition. Attachment 236529

Keeping him in my thoughts!
