gsdsar I would be investigating why he had the low blood sugar. Seizures can CAUSE the blood sugar to drop, so you need to figure out if it was the cause or an affect of the seizure.

My 5.5 year old GS (hypothyroid condition) had a second grand mal seizure

Hi GS lovers,

My 5.5 year old German Shepherd in India has a hypothyroid condition and is on a levothyroxine 300 micrograms once a day dosage. He had a "grand mal seizure" on June 5th and another seizure today. We are sure that is a grand mal seizure. After the first seizure we got his blood levels checked and turned out the cause of the seizure was low sugar levels. But another one has left us very worried.

Any advice on what our next steps should be? Thanks!
