Finding a Kennel that can deal with GSD's can be tough,
I would make sure that they could handle GSD's.
Personally I would try and find someone that would house sit and look after the Dogs.
Family member or friend, someone that knows the Dogs would be ideal.

Best option for dog when on vacation???
Looks like the place my 3 yr old GSD has been boarded may not be an option anymore, so I am trying to decide what to do. Do I try a new kennel or have a pet sitter come to the house. I have another 11 yr old that we use the pet sitter for but he is totally trustworthy in the house and yard. My GSD....not so sure. I have started leaving her loose when no one is home and she has done ok. But I do crate her if it is for more than a few hours. I am more concerned with the yard. We have an e fence which she respects....but will she listen to someone else? I suppose she can be "walked" in the yard with a regular leash or a long line.
Just not sure what is best. She has been boarded with the same place for the past year and knows the people there as we do training there as well. Even knowing the people and place, she doesn't eat well the first few days. So I am concerned about a new kennel. And she is on a raw diet....I don't know if most kennels know how to do raw....
So, pet sitter who comes to house several times daily, or boarding kennel? Thoughts anyone???
