For dog's your identity is more scent based.
Although I wouldn't be so worried about it, if you are, I would put in some t-shirts that you and your family members sleep in for a couple nights into her crate so that she is reminded of your scent in there.
Kinda like the same way you should ask your breeder for a towel or something with her mother and littermate's scent on it so that she will be more calm, relaxed, not as stressed out during the first days away from them.
The shirts would be a good idea because it is possible that she will be looking for you when your gone and not being able to find you, your scent would bring her comfort.

Cause you are SO intelligent and will have the 2 week PLUS are crate training.. sounds like your plan will work out just fine.
Don't worry about missing the few days, she'll be delighted when you return.
Make sure you are getting a good start on ---> http://www.germanshepherds.com/forum...s-puppies.html

I'm in the final countdown for our puppy. We get her in two weeks! I'm super anal about being prepared. I pretty much have everything and we are just waiting around like new parents. I have one question ..... I work only 2 days a week, other than that I can be home a lot during those 2 weeks and when I work I have 2 kids 11 and 15 that can mind her. 2 weeks after we get her my whole family leaves for camp. We leave mid day hen are gone 2 full days then return mid day so 2 full days, 2 half days. I have a close friend that stays at my house. She will be watching the 10 week old pup and my almost 14 year old Yorkie. Both dogs will be crated during the day. She works a 9-5 so I will have a couple neighbors come through the day the let the puppy out and play with her. Is this a big deal?? Will the last 2 weeks of bonding and work be forgotten in the matter of a couple of days?? I'm trying not to stress out over it!!
