mydogs But how do you know besides his physical appearance he's doing good on it? Are his bones developing properly? Joints? Grain free just doesn't interest me for growing puppies

Apoolutz Gunner has been on the exact same food since he was about 12 weeks old and he does wonderful on it, theirs no need for puppy food.

LaRen616 I personally prefer the Large Breed Puppy formulas over the regular puppy food.

Some people feed regular puppy food and have no issues.

Large breed puppy formulas usually have some more joint supplements in the kibble and are made so that puppies don't grow too big too fast. JMO

My 13 week old gsd puppy is on orijen regional red is this okay for him? my vet said I should get a large breed formula .
