Tattersail Is there a reason that you're mixing puppy food with the adult food? You shouldn't have to do that, and I would think it would make much more sense to stick to a good quality LB puppy food rather then hassle with the ratios in the adult and puppy.

Gretchen I usually use the directions on the food package and go with the smaller portions if there is a range. 15lbs for 3-4 months seems a little small for a GSD so she was probably mixed with a smaller breed. Our girl was 18lbs at 8 weeks.

Proper amount to feed 12 week old

So much confusion on the proper amt to feed my puppy. She was a rescue and is approximately 12-15 weeks, currently weighs 15 lbs. (added 1.8 lbs in the week since her check-up.) I am feeding her a mix of Science Diet puppy and large breed adult kibble, per the vets instruction. We are giving her 1 cup twice a day (this is more than the vet recommended) and she acts like she is starving! I've never had a large breed puppy; suggestions/recommendations please.
