Juliem24 Rudy loves hide and seek, whether with a hidden toy, or I hide from him.Put him in a down stay, hide yourself or the toy, then tell him to find it. You know that galumphing thing they do when they are over-joyed? It's hilarious, he absolutely loves it and now will hide his toy from me when he wants me to play. We played inside all winter ( it was a long cold one) and now play in the yard. I have tried amateur scent work, and he's not too good at that, he'd rather hide and seek;but whatever game the dog loves is a good game. I also teach him things like put your toys away, go get the socks; it's like playing with a 2 yr old kid. Wears his skinny butt out!

I'm looking for some advice on how to keep my 8 month old GSD occupied. I can only take her for so many walks and practice her sitting, laying, and staying so much. She loves to chase the tennis ball and is extremely smart and a quick learner. Still I can't make her happy. We can be outside practicing training and walking for hours and she still isn't satisfied. I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice for me to set her up with something to get her engaged for a while and still have some sort of learning aspect to it as opposed to giving her a kong or something like that.
