Freestep A good slicker, a Furminator, shedding blade, or curry comb will all get out a ton of dead hair. If you use a Furminator, be sure to use a light hand, like you are just petting the dog with it. The people who say it "ruins" the coat are using the tool with too much pressure or running it over the same spot for too long. 5-10 minutes of light Furminating, once or twice a week during shedding season is plenty.

Groomer told us to use the comb as you said, but go backward in small sections, works great especially on medium/longer coated dogs.

Excellent idea, found their old steel brush! Got Creasy done, can build another dog out of the coat he was blowing. He seems very happy! Will do Gnash tomorrow after swimming him. Thanks again.

Shedding disaster

Been out of country on business for a couple of weeks and come back to super shaggy Gnash and Creasy! Tough part is that the undercoat rake got misplaced, what is the next best tool for the job?
