A little over 2 weeks since my husband's passing, and Bethsheba is still displaying submissive behavior, though she is getting better. In these times, we speak with her in consoling tones, but we refrain from petting her. Contact, in those times, are exclusively Beth-led, human approved.
This morning, I woke up to find Beth sleeping on the couch. Wth?! So I ask her, 'how did you get out of your crate', because it isn't even remotely possible that I forgot to crate her before bed. (But I did)
The good news is that the cats weren't disemboweled, nothing was destroyed, and there was no canine waste anywhere.
