Peter Caine's Training Style? Name?

Throughout my limited dog training experience I've always tried to avoid using food. Since all their training has been done by me at home, it's been a learning experience. For every command I've taught them, I've had to scour the internet for a method that I approved of, then I went with that one. My dogs know these commands well, but it was quite time consuming.

I heard about Peter Caine from this thread: http://www.germanshepherds.com/forum...ng-dog-18.html

I searched around his Youtube channel and learned that he doesn't use treats either. Is there a name for the training style that he uses?

I want to be able to find resources from training that use a similar style. Rarely will I find a single trainer and use their method every step of the way.
