Msmaria Saw this on the news last night. Brave cat, so glad the little boy is alive. I hope hes ok now. We have quite a few dog fighting cats thanks to the older lady who lives at the end of the street. Dex already learned a lesson, he was curious about a cat and followed him home only to be chased back by 4 cats.

Good. Dogs like that truly need to go. The childs leg looked terrible.

Appearantly it bit the mother as well as she tried to scare it away.

carmspack that cat was awesome , deserves princely treatment for all of its nine lives .

LaRen616 I thought it was awesome that the cat saved the boy, it actually almost made me cry, almost.

That dog absolutely deserves to be put down. I can't believe how it went out of it's way to attack a child that wasn't paying any attention to it. That is a very dangerous animal.

At first I was like "why the heck is the mom leaving the kid!" But it turns out that the mom left the child because the dog was trying to come back to the kid from the other side, she was also bit by the dog.

Unbelievable what the cat did though, my 4 cats wouldn't even attempt to save my life, not even my soul mate Wicked. They would probably claw me to death trying to get away from the threat, lol.

Must be something in the air. The cats are attackin'...

This one was probably taken away from her litter mates at 5 weeks and not socialized enough. Also taken to cat parks, which is what clearly ruined her.

Well, it is no fun to have a story where dog bites kid, cat chases off dog, dog get's euthanized.

If they work it right, a group on facebook will put together a petition to try and save the dog. And they will petition some judge somewhere, and try to save the dog. And then you get two news stories out of it.
