Rottendog I love it!!! My girls have a bedroom in the house with rugs down and their crates and supplies in there. I've got a leash hanger at the back door with their leashes, harnesses and seat belts. And I've sent up their grooming table and a big bathtub in the garage. In SC we are lucky to not have to deal with months of cold like some of you do. So the bath area didn't particularly need to have HVAC to it. If I was to have an inside wash area, I like the idea of tile up the wall. LOL I have washed my flat coat in the master shower, it's a big walk in with plenty of room and a hand shower as well as the stationary wall one. It was an easy clean up and boy did she love the room to shake!!

wyoung2153 I wish I had a basement! Note to self-buy house with basement. This would be awesome I'm excited to hear about your progress, hope you'll continue to post pictures!

For the wash area, I might try and do something mirroring a mud room, Tiling up the wall in one area, up to the ceiling and down to the floor extending a good few feet out on the actual floor as well. Then putting a drain in and a hose or detachable showerhead for bathing.

misslesleedavis1 They like it! Lol its nice and cool in the basement. I vac it everyday, carpet clean once every 3 months and clean crates and bedding alot. I cant wait until its finished tho, carpet is a pain and id rather just mop.

HarleyTheGSD That's awesome! My basement leaks and looks like a medieval dungeon, otherwise, I'd use that space to put some of the animal cages!
Lucky dogs.

Cheyanna Make the bathing section waist high. Use a shower bed (square). The old trailer park had steps for the dogs to go up. It made it easier, no bending over and no lifting dogs

Dog set up.

My basement belong to my dogs, it is there own private gross oasis. Im not finished it yet but I plan on putting in fake hardwood, obviously painting and removing the hideous panels, and outfitting the unused portion of my laundry room with a full on tub and dog drying station. I am going to add more dog beds too and a couple of couches. Tips on good bathing stations would be appreciated.

Im also turning a peice of old barn board into a leash and toy station,
