LoveEcho I am so, so, indescribably sorry for your loss...I think that dogs feel things on a whole other level than we do- it sounds like that's what your darling girl has been going through. I hope the pain eases for you both in time

zivagirl "As for the peeing everywhere. ... Bethsheba was leaving "calling cards" for your husband, so if he was lost he could sniff his way back to you both. I know that sounds silly to us-----------but that is exactly the way it works in a dog's world. She was trying to tell your husband, "This is it, you are in the right place, stay right here." if he should happen by and sniff her urine."

Doesn't sound silly to me. I am deeply touched by this, actually.

That's not the case, love...there's nothing you could've done. As they say, hindsight is always 20/20.

Do you have family support...? Or a support group...? Friends...?

If there's anything I can do, PM me...I don't know why, but I hurt for you...
Looking back is an inevitability. I know I didn't cause this, couldn't cure him, and couldn't change the outcome. For now, there is no sense of guilt outside of that which is brought on by the knowledge that I can and will go on living, and I will achieve more than mere survival. probably hurt for me because I have a tendency to throw my feelings outwards. . Thank-you for your kindness.

Harry and Lola Zivagirl I'm so sorry for your loss, I hope you are coping with your loss.

It is interesting to hear about your girl's behaviour, they most definitely do have a 6th sense and know more about us then we do ourselves. Always listen to our dogs, they try and tell us so much.
