Wetdog This is one reason that dogs work so well with Autistic children----they help the children to maintain direction and focus.

Tratkins Our pup will be 6 months in a couple of weeks and he definitely has learned the way of our home. Lol I must be pretty boring for him if I am that predictable! It was so pretty out here a couple of days ago and I decided to extend our walk and passed by the road we normally walk down to our house. He kept looking at me like "Hey Mom! Home is this way!" I made him go my way of course but I do wonder who is training who here sometimes!

My life is being managed from now on...

DDog is 6 months old and starting to understand the routine of the house and me. Yesterday I was on a long phone conversation and as I was getting ready to end the conersation, the tone and rhythm must have changed. DDog got up and walked in front of me to the bathroom door and pointed his nose at it. And yes, that is where I was going. So if I get demented anytime soon, I am safe with that part of my life.
He loves order and predictability. Today we took his crate out of the "dog car" as we needed the car for some big stuff. He was completely confused; restless, whining. He was fine once the crate was back in its normal spot. He also gets up when the oven timer goes off.
I love that about our canine life managers.
