|huntergreen||if your pup is not having any problems, i would wait till he is 1 year old and then see an ortho vet. he/she is still growing and things can change.|

Visit a board certified surgeon specializing in orthopedic work, have xrays done, and go from there. There ARE things you can do - surgery and total hip replacements for one. But don't continue to waste your money with your regular vet, visit a specialist for your best options. You have no idea what you're working with without xrays

What would you do?
I took my 7 month old to the vet recently and he checked out his hips. He said that his flexion is no good. He said there wasn't really anything we could do. I know I could put him on a glucosamine supplement but after that, nothing else can be done. He also said that if he had to guess(and it's impossible to predict) that he'd say my dog would start having problems within a couple of years. Obviously my knowledge is limited because xrays have not been done.
Would would you do if this was your 7 month old that had bad flexion, doesn't run a lot, and cant navigate stairs normally. He steps up them one at a time like a toddler would.
Thanks in advance!
