selzer Females generally go in heat twice a year, approximately six months apart. If your pup is 2 months old, she will likely go in heat two months from now. So she should not be pregnant again.

If the guy is breaking the law, call the law on him. If he is not, at some point, you have to accept that these are not your puppies, and you are not in a position to make decisions for them. If you are able to get another and have a rescue lined up for it, then good for you, do it. But do not just take another puppy to keep. Keeping littermates is something you really need to plan for and it is generally not a good idea for a number of reasons.

LittleJaws Bay and two of his litter mates while he was still there. As you can see, it is no place for puppies to grow up in, or dogs.

LittleJaws Yes, rescue is ready for however many babies I can get! I've called and was told I can come by Friday with my prospective owners and get some babies.

I honestly don't understand why leaving with complete strangers sounds better than a reputable breed specific rescue. But whatever works.. Thanks guys!

Lilie I'd speak to the rescue first, make sure they have the room for the pups. Then I'd follow through with your brillant idea and snatch up as many babies as you could.

Kayos and Havoc Poor dogs. I like your idea and thanks for helping these pups.

blueangele I would do exactly what you said, tell him you want one more so yours isn't lonely, then get friends and coworkers to get the others and give them to the rescue.

Worried about Bay's litter mates..

In case you did not read my introduction, I recently welcomed a 2 month old GSD puppy into my family.
He is from my grandmother's extremely irresponsible neighbor, who has two German Shepherds BOTH unaltered STILL. I actually think the female is pregnant again, she just finished weaning the puppies. Monday his son asked me if I wanted one or two, after confirming what I thought he meant with the actual owner. They were giving the puppies away for free. After watching a total stranger who didn't say anything but three sentences come off the street and take one, I took the boy I had helped deliver home with me.
As soon as I got home, I contacted Good Shepherd Rescue and they started working with me right away, which I will always be grateful for, but they did need to speak to the owner. After finding out they would be going to a rescue, he started backing out. I've offered him money, reassured they would be going into foster homes and not kennels, and it would cost him nothing.. But he just said he would think about and hasn't contacted the rescue or me. I am terrified of what will happen to Bay's siblings. I do not live in a good neighborhood, and we do have a big dog fighting problem down here. Everyone knows who is first to line up for free puppies..
I am not sure what to do or if I can do anything. He still does not have a problem with people coming to get them, so I was thinking I could get some friends together as 'future owners', get the puppies I could, then get them to Good Shepherd. It is me thinking desperately, but i really don't know.

I'm sorry for the novel, but it has just been making me feel so uneasy and sick for the puppies.. I've watched the mom grow up from a puppy by herself, offered to pay to spay her when they decided to get a boy, I helped deliver when they were on vacation, watched them grow up with minimum human contact in a filthy backyard, and now seeing them basically thrown away to whoever is first just breaks my heart.
